DAN FLAVIN - The Diary Issue

Electric light, fluorescent bulbs and iconic installations all over the world, the late Dan Flavin’s creative work has been used by creative directors from various fashion houses such as Louis Vuitton and Calvin Klein to enhance the windows of their boutiques. He also has permanent installations, the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam acquired his work in 2007 and was reinstalled in 2011. The incandescent lights and design are recognisable through his abstract expressionist lines and repetitiveness.
