A POET OF ARCHITECTURE

Carlo Scarpa, an Italian master of design and architecture. The structured details, lines and graphic shapes decorating his architecture take my breath away. Influenced by Venetian and Japanese culture, Scarpa’s work has a continual flow of shape and line mimicking the landscape on which it is built. The incredible precision he has on beautifully designed staircases and intersecting circular rose windows along with the stark use of concrete and Art Nouveau details are some of Scarpas signature motifs.
