Last Friday evening Dutch Fashion Designer Johannes Offerhaus showed his latest collection ‘An experiment with Parabos’. We were invited for the show but unfortunately we had to miss it, but I heard from insiders that it was quite the show! Johannes is relatively new on the fashion scene but has already made a huge impression. In 2016 he won the Frans Molenaar Award for his final graduation collection after that he interned for a year with Viktor and Rolf. Johannes is known for exploring movement, form and colour and that is clear in his latest collection. He developed an installation of 5 silhouettes using five models, “wearable clothes are not necessarily the final result”. His choice to present in Amsterdams Studio 8 was intentional to create an ‘eggshell” effect that the models walked around freely with no borders or corners, to exaggerate his vision by reflecting movement colour and form.
